An annual herb, usually erect and growing to 70 cm but often less. Stems are branching, hollow and slender. Leaves, up to 10 cm long, are very finely divided into long, very narrow leaflets. Each leaflet 1 to 2 cm long and only 1 mm wide. Flower heads are carried on slender stalks and are carrot-like umbels. Flowers are small and have white petals.
Slender celery is widespread and is often found near buildings. It is sometimes found on headlands but is not a serious weed of cane fields. |
